Breakfast with Privatbanka: Consolidation and Taxes – What Investors Can Expect from 2026

At the end of October, we participated in an event organized by Privatbanka, which took place at the premises of Jurkovičova Tepláreň in Bratislava. The event brought together private banking clients, investors, and professionals from various areas of finance and investing.

As part of the program, we delivered a presentation titled “Consolidation and Taxes – What Investors Can Expect from 2026.”

During our presentation, we addressed several topics that are increasingly important for investors today. In particular, we discussed:

  • the impact of public finance consolidation on the taxation of investments,

  • the differences between investing as an individual and investing through a company,

  • the taxation of various types of investment instruments, such as shares, bonds, ETFs, and crypto-assets,

  • the specific tax aspects of trading versus long-term investing,

  • and how the structure of an investment can influence its overall efficiency.

The aim of the presentation was not to offer universal solutions, but rather to highlight that the tax aspect of investing is becoming increasingly important as tax burdens rise. Legislative changes and developments in financial markets mean that investors are now focusing not only on investment returns, but also on how their investments are structured from a tax perspective.

The event also provided space for discussion and the exchange of experience between investors and professionals from practice. We consider such meetings very valuable, as they enable open dialogue on current topics and practical issues that investors face.

We would like to thank Privatbanka for the invitation and for the engaging professional discussion.
